Purchasing or selling your first Dexter can sometimes be a challenging task.
The ADCA has put together a couple of guides to help you with your pursuit of Dexter cattle.
The buyers 6-Point Checklist is intended to encourage buyers to ask or consider six important questions when purchasing Dexter cattle.
The Buyer Questionnaire is designed to assist breeders with Dexter cattle sales and also to help ensure the purchaser is well prepared before adding livestock to their farm.

A2A2, Homozygous Polled, BD 5/29/2019, PHA/Chondro negative. He is probably red that carries dun, as he has had a dun calves from black and dun cows.
Hottie will follow you or come running when you shake a can with a bit of corn in it. Includes: five cows (3-7 years old), two yearling heifers (1.6 years old), two heifer calves (0.5 years), one yearling bull (1.5 years), and two bull calves (0.5 years). Cows and yearling heifers were artificially inseminated (AI) or bred in fall 2025, and most probably are pregnant. The 2025 AI bull was Timberview Pepper Jack (ADCA # 051557), and the other bull was Ploskey’s Pepin (ADCA # 057585). All animals are red, genetically polled, non-carriers for Chondrodysplasia and PHA, and have a gentle temperament. Some are exceptional. Pedigrees are available under the owner’s last name (Ploskey).
