The Missouri Dexter Breeder’s Association (MDBA) fall show took place on October 19, 2019 at the Webster County Fairgrounds, in Marshfield, MO. The cattle started arriving on Thursday evening, and by the time check-in was done on Friday afternoon, ~80 ADCA registered cattle were waiting to be shown. The MDBA kicked off the festivities on Friday night with its annual chili dinner and social. The forecasted rain held off on Saturday morning, and we had a bright and sunny kick-off with the Youth classes. The youth that were showing were some of the highest caliber, and the competition was fierce, but friendly. Kenny Endl (Ralston, OK) won the Youth Showmanship Award.
The rain finally moved in during the open show, but that didn’t stop the youth or adults from putting their best foot forward in the show ring. There were many amazing animals that moved through the show ring, with Ashlee Gammel (Sperry, OK) taking the MDBA Premier Youth Exhibitor Award, Joseph and Rebecca Gygax (Ash Grove, MO) taking both the MDBA Premier Open Exhibitor Award and the MDBA Best of Show Award.
